Fostering saves lives! It is also rewarding and fun. Fostering is a great alternative to adopting if you are not in the financial position to own an animal, are trying to decide if you want an animal in your life permanently, are not sure if you are ready to commit to an animal for 10+ years, or are not in stable accommodation.
When fostering for us, we ask you to take the rescue in and treat them like they are your own. The only difference is that we take care of medical costs and appointments. In exchange, we ask for lots of clear photos of your foster animal/s, so we can put an album up on our pages when they are ready to be adopted, and to keep our social media up to date. We may ask you to transport them to the occasional adoption day or medical appointment. When we have a family interested in adopting them and we feel they would be a good match, we will ask you to contact the family and arrange a meet. If the family fall in love and decide to adopt, we then process the adoption and advise you when the animal is able to be picked up by their new family.
When fostering pups, we ask that they remain indoors until fully vaccinated, and kittens and cats are to remain strictly indoor only. We also ask that if fostering kittens/pups under 12 weeks of age, that you foster in pairs or more. We do this for socialisation reasons as well as to prevent possible adoptive families from having to visit multiple foster homes.
If you are happy with the above, please download and complete our Foster Application Form and return it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
